I warmly welcomed Mr.
Mr. Kwame Baa Mensa, Bono Regional Director of the National Sports Authority (NSA) and his dynamic Team today , November 5,2025 in my office in Sunyani, Bono Regional capital.
The meeting afforded us an opportunity to discuss sports development and infrastructure drive at the tertiary level. I assured the Team of UENR's commitment to exciting academic experience for our students anchored on the principle of holistic education that places sports and recreation at the centre of the ambitious drive to ensure our products are trained to be globally competitive.
Porta Aboagye is the record holder 800km recorder holder for the Ghana Universities Sports Association (GUSA) Games.
Mr. Baa Mensah reiterated the passionate desire to work closely with UENR to ensure that sports men and women derive the maximize the benefits associated with various disciplines at Tertiary institutions in Ghana.
UENR is reputed for serving as a centre for hosting some of the national teams all the time.
