The 2021 Year Group of Suhum M/A EXP. 'C' JHS paid a surprise visit to the Head teacher of Suhum Mile 44 M/A Model Basic School today. They made a cash donation to be used to purchase one hundred (100) pieces of blocks as part of their contribution towards the KG project of the school.

SUHUM MILE 44 M/A MODEL BASIC SCHOOL on Monday 14th March, 2022, commemorated International Day of Mathematics under the theme: “Mathematics Unites”.
The main motive behind the celebration is to raise awareness among learners about the importance of Mathematics for the development of humanity and to demystify the perception that Mathematics is a difficult subject.

The municipal STEM Coordinator, Mr. Eugene Nyakutse, gave a talk on the theme, encouraged learners to take Mathematics seriously and also advised teachers to give room for learners to come up with their challenges in Mathematics.

The KG and Primary went through with hands-on/practical activities in Mathematics by modeling geometric shapes and JHS had inter-house Mathematics quiz competition among the four houses (House 1, 2, 3 and 4).
The headmaster, Mr. Opoku Boateng Philip, personally donated a gold trophy to the House that won the quiz competition and all participants were also awarded with exercise books.
Kudos to the efforts of the teachers for their tremendous support through which the programme became a success.
