Strengthening the Future of Healthcare: NMC Assesses CoNM, Ntotroso’s Readiness for BSc. Nursing Training

The College of Nursing and Midwifery, Ntotroso was honored to welcome a distinguished delegation from the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) of Ghana as part of an official assessment visit to evaluate the college’s preparedness to commence the Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSc. Nursing) program.

Led by the dynamic Principal, Madam Aisha Sena Iddrisu, the College presented a comprehensive showcase of its evolving infrastructure, academic resources, and institutional capacity. The NMC delegation, represented by Mr. Ampem Darko (Esq.) and Madam Miriam, assessed key components including:
• Availability and suitability of teaching and learning facilities
• Institutional adherence to standards and guidelines
• Faculty strength and academic competence
• Frameworks for regulation of training delivery
• Engagement with key stakeholders and significant others

The visit featured detailed inspections of tutors’ offices, student classrooms, washrooms, water sources, and sanitation systems—reinforcing the college’s commitment to quality, safety, and excellence in health education.

This follows the official launch by the Honourable Minister for Health on Monday, 5th May, 2025, at the Ministry of Health Conference Room.

When the odds were stacked high against us — when officiating threatened to break our spirit — the students of the College of Nursing and Midwifery, Ntotroso, refused to be shaken. With resilience in our hearts and excellence in our DNA, we fought through every challenge and claimed victory once again!

Even after our well-deserved win, attempts were made to deny us our glory — the trophy and medals were whisked away in an obvious show of unfairness. But CoNM Ntotroso is not built on timidity. Our students stood their ground with pride and vigilance, refusing to back down until justice was served.

At the end of the day, as always, victory found its rightful owners.

Parliamentary Select Committee on Lands and Natural Resources Pays Working Visit to College of Nursing and Midwifery, Ntotroso

As part of their constitutional mandate of parliamentary oversight, the distinguished Parliamentary Select Committee on Lands and Natural Resources, led by the Honourable Alhaji Collins Dauda — Chairperson of the Committee and Member of Parliament for Asutifi South Constituency — paid a momentous visit to the College of Nursing and Midwifery, Ntotroso.

The delegation was warmly received by the College Principal and available staff, who took the opportunity to present a comprehensive briefing on the institution’s trajectory, current academic programs, student population, and the existing male-to-female ratio. The Honourable Members engaged in a fruitful interactive session, posing insightful questions which were aptly addressed by the Principal.

The visit further featured a guided tour across the college’s key facilities, granting the committee an in-depth perspective on the institution’s infrastructure and resources. The Principal, in her submission, expressed profound appreciation to the Newmont Ahafo Development Foundation for its unwavering support — notably in the construction of essential facilities and the provision of scholarship schemes to numerous indigenous students of the college.

🏆 CoNM Ntotroso Dominates Yet Another Tournament! 🏆

The College of Nursing and Midwifery, Ntotroso (CoNM) once again asserted its supremacy in sports as we honored an invitation to compete in a thrilling tournament hosted by our counterparts at the College of Nursing and Midwifery, Kwapong.

In a display of skill, determination, and teamwork, Team CoNM emerged victorious in nearly all categories, securing trophies in male volleyball, female volleyball, and female football! While the male football team put up a valiant fight, we proudly celebrate their resilience and sportsmanship.

This achievement reaffirms our dominance in every tournament we partake in. At CoNM, we don’t just compete—we lead, we conquer, and we set the pace!
