𝗝𝗼𝗼𝗷𝗼 𝗖𝗼𝗯𝗯𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗵 𝗗𝗲𝗹𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗜𝗻𝘃𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗴𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗝𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗻𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘀𝗺 𝗟𝗲𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗮𝘁 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝗠𝗔𝗖

Award-winning documentary filmmaker and investigative journalist Joojo Cobbinah shared his expertise as a guest lecturer at the University of Media, Arts and Communication (UniMAC) on 3 August 2025. Held at the North Dzorwulu campus through the FOJAMS-Multimedia Partnership, the session provided students with practical insights from his extensive experience in the field.

𝗨𝗻𝗶𝗠𝗮𝗰 𝘁𝗼 𝗛𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝗣𝘂𝗯𝗹𝗶𝗰 𝗦𝗽𝗲𝗮𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗠𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗰𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗔𝘀𝗽𝗶𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀

A two-day Public Speaking Masterclass, organized under the auspices of the Faculty of Journalism and Media Studies (FOJAMS) at the University of Media, Arts and Communication (UniMac), will take place on 8-9 August 2025 at its South Legon campus. Facilitated by Dominic Awini Awinpang Asitanga, a PhD student in Rhetoric and Culture at Ohio University, USA, the seminar will provide journalism and communication students, as well as aspiring leaders, with practical skills and rhetorical techniques to excel in today’s media environment.

The Faculty of Journalism and Media Studies at UniMAC hosted the Futuristic Africa Youth and Technology Symposium (FAYATS) at the North Dzorwulu campus. These photos capture students and staff engaging in workshops on AI, coding, data analysis, and blockchain, gaining skills for tech-driven careers and sustainable development

Through workshops and discussions with industry experts, participants gained skills to support sustainable development and tech-driven careers. FAYATS 2025 highlights our faculty’s focus on preparing the UniMAC community to contribute to Africa’s technological growth.

At the Faculty of Journalism and Media Studies’ Futuristic Africa Youth and Technology Symposium (FAYATS) held on 18 July 2025 at UniMAC’s North Dzorwulu campus, US-based tech entrepreneur Ebako Mukwele, CEO of MKNet Consulting LLC and EMATECH Academy Inc., urged our students and staff to harness artificial intelligence (AI) to amplify their potential and drive Africa’s digital revolution

“AI is created by humans, so it’s not here to replace us. It’s a tool to amplify our potential if we control it effectively,”

Hosted by our faculty, FAYATS 2025 empowered UniMAC students and staff with hands-on training in AI, coding, data analysis, and blockchain, fostering skills for innovation and sustainable development. This landmark event underscores our commitment to preparing our community to lead in the digital age.
