Thank God you are an old Boscan
The painting work has started and we are hereby appealing to all to support with paint. Bosco college has made us great let us give back to our Alma mater. The principal and the staff have contributed in cash so let us support them. No contribution is small.
Merry Christmas to you all
Dear Beloved Alumni, *OLD BOSCANS* everywhere, I greet you all on behalf of the Council, Management, Staff and Students of the St. John Bosco's College of Education.
Since I took over as Principal of your *Alma mater* 3 months ago, I have been working assiduously together with staff, students and some alumni to uplift the quality of the College's infrastructure.
Towards this end, College Staff donated 160 bags of Cement, circa 2bags/head; the Interim Alumni Executive gave GHS1000 and the SRC Executive GHS250.00. ๐๐ฟ
With these donations we have:
1. *Refurbished and re-plastered* *the front, fence wall* (along the road), to give a nicer outlook to the College๐๐ฟ
2. *Renovating a block for the SRC* to serve as a Centre for Innovation by our Junior Members (Students)๐๐ฟ
3. *Planned to construct an Alumni Secretariat* to give Old Boscans a prominent presence on campus as a major stakeholder in the administration of the College.
Through similar efforts, we are renovating *All Halls of Residence*, and hope to receive support to upgrade all the main College roads.
With our eyes set on becoming a University College by 2022, and in making the College competitive among her peers, having good infrastructure is critically necessary. Good infrastructure will make us attractive and an institution of first choice among our peers.
As a public institution, government is fundamentally responsible for infrastructural development. Nevertheless, St. John Bosco's is first and foremost ours.
I am therefore by this message appealing to *OLD BOSCANS* everywhere to help us with cement or paint in support of the above mentioned projects.
In the spirit of our Patron, St. John Bosco's, and our motto: *_Facere et Docere*( Teach and Do), a bag of Cement, a 5 litre gallon of Paint, a box nails, etc. or the cash equivalents of same per alumni will be a big blessing to your *Alma mater.*
I am fully aware times are hard, but nevertheless confident in the power of the love of you *Sons and Daughters* of St. John Bosco's, to help.
Please your kind donations should be made via year group reps on your platforms. And those without year group platforms to Mr. Victor Alebna via momo: 0242232816; and Mr. Asubey Yakubu: 0244473435.
All contributions will be duly and formally acknowledged.
May God bless you all.

*Donation of Ghc1000.00 in support of SJB College of Education*
Today, the 12th of November 2020, the Alumni Interim Executives donated a cash amount of Ghc 1000.00 to the management of the college to buy paint in support of the Principal's Developmental Initiatives. The first ongoing project is the refurbishment of the school fence wall at the main entrance which is in a deplorable state. The project is funded solely by contributions from Management and Staff of the College.
The Principal and a cross section of the staff received the amount on behalf of the school. He noted that upon assumption of office, his first priority was to organize capacity building workshops for his staff to improve upon content delivery and also improve the built environment to look like a tertiary institution, hence the need to mobilize his staff to work on the fence wall. He added that plans have been rolled out to plant lawns, hedges and avenue trees to improve the aesthetic value of the College.
He lobbied and had assurances from the Regional Minister and the High Way Authority to tar some of the major roads on campus as almost all the paperwork is complete and awaits ex*****on.
He used the opportunity to thank his supporting staff and the Alumni Executives for their timely intervention, and promised that every donation will be put to good use
*Appeal From Members*
The ALUMNI Executives are appealing to all alumni and the various year groups who wish to also contribute to the Principal's Developmental Initiatives. All donations should pass through the Executives to the College, it will be duly acknowledged.
