The 2022 WASSCE is gradually coming to an end. Lambussie Community Day SHS continue to turn out more human resources to support in the country developmental efforts.
In 2019 WASSCE the school presented 38 Candidates for our maiden WASSCE at Nandom SHS and they came out with 98% pass rate ( grade A to E), but 0% qualified into Tertiary institution the following year, with a resit in one or two subjects area a lot has moved in to further studies.
Through the commitment of school management, staff, students and other major stakeholders of Education in the Lambussie District, the WAEC HQ granted the school WASSCE centre to conduct our own WASSCE in 2020 and the school presented 274 candidates and they also did well but because of the high numbers the school had 88% pass rate ( GES analysis Grade A to E) but only 1.8% qualified into university ( Six credit Grade A to C6) and in 2021 WASSCE 238 candidates were again presented and had 98.8% pass rate ( Grade A to E) with 4.8% qualified into Tertiary institution ( having credit in six subjects From Grade A to C6), the senior prefect and his assistant made the school proud by coming out with Aggregate Ten and Eleven respectively and the girls prefect also coming out with Aggregate Twenty Four, all of them now at the Tertiary institution, this year 2022 WASSCE, the school again registered 138 candidates in four program areas and again hoping to make the school proud, since this year we had had support and intervention from T-TEL that has supported teachers by way of capacity building to improve upon educational outcomes.
All the major stakeholders of the school are in school to develop the school and possibly convert it from Day status to boarding in the near future. Feeding and Accommodation are the major challenges but the major stakeholders of the education in the district has constructed a girls dormatory on campus that can accommodate 300 girls but currently lack b**g beds, they also released a structure in Lambussie town to accommodate distant students.
If the school is provided boarding status it can admit over 1,200 students and even introduce more programs ( Home Economic-Catering, dress making, Visual Arts, etc).
Most of the candidates this year will all be ending their papers on the 27/09/2022. In Six years since esterblishment in November, 2016, the school has turn out over 700 students so far all serving in various capacity to contribute their quota to the country development.
The staffing situation in the school has also improved from a humble 7 staff in 2016/2017 to 50 staff ( 42 teaching staff and 8 non teaching), the GES DG, Regional Education Director and the District Director of Education are always at our disposal to support in school development. All the credit goes to them for their support, most expecially Regional Human Resource officer.
