Founded in 2009 by Ustaz Hussein Abubakar, a passionate Islamic revert who began his journey with limited knowledge, ACFIS has transformed from a humble initiative into a leading institution for Islamic education in the region.

The story of ACFIS is one of determination and vision. Ustaz Hussein, driven by a profound desire to seek and share knowledge, initially established the centre in Kumasi. It was there that he laid the groundwork for what would become a flourishing educational institution. In 2015, recognizing the need for Islamic education in Sefwi-Bekwai, he opened a branch in Pintinbikrom, starting with fewer than five students. This small beginning was fueled by a dream—to create a nurturing environment where individuals could embrace their faith and pursue knowledge without limits.

As the years passed, ACFIS blossomed into the sole Islamic educational centre in Sefwi-Bekwai, attracting students from various backgrounds who sought to deepen their understanding of Islam. The centre's growth can be attributed not only to its dedicated founder but also to a remarkable team of educators who joined the mission. Among them are Ustaz Mussah Issah, Ustaz Dawud, Ustaz Ishaaq Saeed, Brother Khaalid, Ustaz Hassan Harun and Brother Muniru Hussein, all of whom have played pivotal roles in shaping the minds and hearts of their students.

Under the advisory guidance of Kaamil Abubakar, the general director, ACFIS has consistently upheld its reputation as one of the best-performing Islamic centres in the Western North region. The commitment to academic excellence and spiritual growth has fostered an environment where students are encouraged to explore their faith deeply and apply it meaningfully in their lives.

The motto of ACFIS—"Seeking Knowledge Till Death"—is not just a phrase; it encapsulates the essence of the institution's mission.
