The first batch of AKUAFO PILOTS has officially taken flight! Through the E-Happy Project by Agri Impact, participants were introduced to the exciting world of dronepreneurship through simulations and hands-on practical sessions.

As part of their immersive learning experience, participants of Cohort 3 of the Agripreneur Training Programme embarked on an insightful weekend field tour to the Greenhouse of Fresh Logistics and the poultry section of KNUST Animal Farm Department.
The visit exposed participants to practical, real-world applications of modern farming techniques—including greenhouse crop production, climate control systems, and integrated livestock management. They explored how controlled environments can boost productivity, ensure year-round harvests, and contribute to sustainable agribusiness.
This hands-on exposure reinforced classroom learning, showing participants how innovation, observation, and good management practices work together to drive success in agriculture.
The tour forms part of the Happy Project, proudly implemented by Agri-Impact in partnership with the Mastercard Foundation, aimed at nurturing well-rounded, future-ready agripreneurs.

Over the past two days, participants of Cohort 3 of the Agripreneur Training Programme were immersed in an exciting and forward-looking module on Precision Agriculture.
The sessions introduced participants to cutting-edge agricultural technologies aimed at improving productivity and sustainability. Trainees gained hands-on experience in:
Soil Moisture Testing using Arduino Board Systems – learning how to integrate sensors and microcontrollers to monitor soil conditions for smarter farming decisions.
Data Visualization with Power BI – equipping them with skills to interpret and present agricultural data in ways that support evidence-based decisions and boost agribusiness efficiency.
This eye-opening session empowered participants to see how data, digital tools, and automation are shaping the future of agriculture—making it more precise, cost-effective, and environmentally responsible.

While one group explored digital extension services, the second training room was buzzing with creativity and innovation as participants were taken through a practical session on Graphic Design.
This hands-on session equipped trainees with essential design skills to boost their agribusiness branding and communication strategies. Participants learned how to design professional logos, flyers, business cards, and more key tools for building a strong and recognizable agribusiness identity.
The session emphasized the importance of visual storytelling in marketing, helping agripreneurs stand out in a competitive market and effectively communicate their value to customers and stakeholders.

The session focused on how digital technologies are revolutionizing the delivery of agricultural advisory services—making support more efficient and responsive to the needs of farmers in today’s dynamic landscape.
Trainees were introduced to Bitrix24, a collaborative platform used to enhance communication, project tracking, and service coordination in modern extension systems.
As part of the session, participants were divided into groups to identify key challenges in Ghana’s current extension service models and brainstorm innovative digital solutions that can improve outreach, engagement, and impact across farming communities.
This session is a core component of the Happy Project, an initiative by Agri-Impact in partnership with the Mastercard Foundation, committed to preparing youth for leadership and innovation in agribusiness.
