People ask us ( The A-zone family) why we do what we do?
Our simple answer has been our motto: "We're connecting and inspiring dreams".
Our little brothers and sisters have great potentials to make our society, Ghana, and the World a better place.
The sad truth is, most of them just like ourselves at some point in life fail to see the glaring greatness early in life.
It is no fault of theirs. Sometimes until you experience it, you don't believe.

But A-zone Network shall not give up on these young ones for all the great potentials and dreams to go waist.

If you are in tertiary institution, a graduate, or a professional, you can adequately come on board to guide, inform and mentor students at the high school level.
A stronger foundation is key. We believe in basics. Getting young students to start right and move into the " A" zone is A-zone Network's paramount goal.

Get on board come Saturday, November 18, 2017 to connect and inspire dreams.

HAYFORD WRITES✍...TO ALL SHS GRADUATES
________________________________________________
A battle well fought.... Congratulations!!

Everything that has a beginning has an end. Thus you have come to the close of another chapter of the academic ladder.

Congratulations on this achievement; for many were the challenges, nightmares, embarrassments, fears, hunger, sleep deprivation....just name it because you know better than I do.

To some of you , you've said to yourself "I have completed school".

You might be right if you intend learning a trade or pursuing a business career which might not put you back inside the classroom again.

I challenge you however to see farther than you are seeing now.

Do not be limited by your immediate conditions!

If you're confused about what next after school, talk to a knowledgeable adult about your options.

You can as well get in touch with A-ZONE NETWORK'S peer counselors. Call or WhatsApp us on 0204039054/ 0242516217

For now let's talk about 3 WAYS YOU CAN ADD VALUE TO YOURSELF as you await your results:

🔻READ MORE BOOKS: You're through with SHS but I wouldn't like age to catch up with you. You are wondering how age can catch-up on you because you are only 17, 18, 19 or at most 25. The truth is, if you stop reading, you'll be living in the 1st century while your age mates are in 21st century. A great author says, " whoever stops reading is old". Always remember that, today's readers are tomorrow's leaders. Add value to yourself by reading.

🔻ENGAGE YOURSELF IN A VOLUNTEERING WORK: It's sometimes difficult to find a high paying job after SHS especially in our part of the world. That does not mean sit home and change TV channels like a flickering light. Get something to do even if you're not paid. You'll learn from so many experiences that will put more value on you than your colleagues. If it's teaching, teach for the Love, if it's sales person, sell with much happiness. Offer to help others. Opportunities may come through this selfless act.

🔻ACQUIRE A SKILL: often when I speak to students about acquiring skills like tailoring, graphic designing, computer & electronics repairs, they laugh it off because they think such things are for, pardon my word, illiterates. The reality on the ground is, our world is now more friendly with people who can do something with their hands than just mere storage of what an atom is.
Instead of staying idle and chasing married men, attacking people for what they've worked for, acquire for yourself a skill.

If the opportunity presents itself, learn and acquire a skill.
It will add value to who you're today.

Besides, it will put money in your pocket, put food on your table someday to come.

While you ponder over these 3 ways of adding value to yourself:

👉Never forget your God while you are in the house.

👉Shun evil company while you chase your dream.

👉Stay away from premature romantic relationships while you aspire to grow healthy and beautiful

A-ZONE NETWORK, an NGO dedicated to steering young individuals like yourself to a successful career and life CONGRATULATES YOU ON YOUR SUCCESSFUL COMPLETION OF SHS.

May the Lord grant you the success you desire.

SHALOM!

Feel free to tag any SHS graduate

THE REALIST SPEAKS ON GHANA'S EDUCATION SYSTEM
(A must read piece).
Reflecting on my notes in Classical History, and in those days individuals on the classical side officially did almost nothing but classics.
I think this was right as compared to our educational system today. The greatest service we can, to education today, is to teach few subjects.
No one has time to do more than a very few things well in his youthful age, and when we force an individual to be a mediocre in a dozen subjects, we destroy his or her standards, perhaps for life...
Is our educational system doing us good or bad?
I accept the fact that formal education is alien to this continent. I trust blacks, we are good at copying, but the problem is that, we often copy wrongly.
Most of our leaders go outside to study and come back to lead us, but they never thought of structuring our educational system with that of the western world.
The "haves" will always go outside to seek better education to rule we the downtrodden (have-not).
We cherish foreign certificates than our own, and our problems will continue to persist, since we, the downtrodden, make up the largest population in every diaspora....

Late in the 14th century, most nations were sending their people to England to study, but after the world wars, they all went back to their various countries to teach and structure things.
Singapore sent most of her students outside to study, but Lee Kuan Yew decided to change things in Singapore.
He brought the educational system into a total haul and started from scratch.
Now, I don't need to belabor myself to tell you much about Singapore.
Here in Ghana, most graduates come out from universities already confused in life. After national service, they only sit in their houses and apply for jobs and if they don't get, they think that's the end of the world.

We refuse to utilize what we were taught in schools to establish businesses on our own.

Today, I want to make it clear to you that, it is not your birth right for government to get you a job. The country has done a lot for you by providing you education, and you are also fortunate to have enrolled in such tertiary programmes.

Now, I urge you to utilize what you have acquired through your education, to improve upon your life. If you are able to get government work, then it's a bonus and a blessing from above.

My dear friends, let us think outside the box to do things on our own.
Let us develop the spirit of commitment, and I believe with persistent struggles, we would get to the top.
As I always say, "aim high, but be willing to start small"

luta continua, vitória é certa.
