The Commissioning of the St. Luke R/C JHS BSTEM Laboratory
On May 22nd, 2026, the educational landscape of Santasi Anyinam, Kumasi, reached a significant milestone. We are proud to announce the official launch of the modern BSTEM Laboratory at St. Luke R/C JHS—a project that exemplifies the power of community-led innovation.
This state-of-the-art facility was made possible through the visionary commitment and full funding of the *St. Luke R/C JHS Parents Association*. Their investment represents a profound dedication to equipping our learners with the tools necessary for the 21st-century global economy.
We were privileged to host *Dr. Charity Wiafe Akenten*, a distinguished Research Fellow at KCCR and Lecturer at KNUST. Her keynote address on innovation, molecular diagnostics, and STEM advocacy served as a powerful catalyst for our students, bridging the gap between classroom theory and real-world scientific research.
The ceremony was graced by high-level representation from both the Church and State, including:
* *Most Rev. Gabriel Justice Yaw Anokye*, Metropolitan Archbishop of Kumasi.
* *Rev. Sister Marian Antwi FST*, Head of School.
* The *Metropolitan Director of Education* and the *Kumasi Metro Education Directorate*.
* *Andrew Acheampong Atansah*, Metro STEM Coordinator, whose leadership was instrumental in the ex*****on of this initiative.
The laboratory’s seamless setup was expertly managed [email protected] , while the high-tech BSTEM equipment was provided through the Ministry of Education national Basic STEM implementation program.
Together, we are not just building a laboratory; we are cultivating the next generation of Ghanaian scientists, researchers, and innovators.
