Yesterday, the landscape of digital education at Amankwatia M/A JHS βAβ received a massive boost.
The 1996 Year Group of the school officially handed over and commissioned a beautifully renovated, modern Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Laboratory for their alma mater.
This timely intervention by the old students provides learners with a well-equipped space to practicalize their digital skills, bridging the technological gap and aligning with modern educational standards.
The Kumasi Metro Education Directorate expresses its profound gratitude to the 1996 Alumni Group for their incredible generosity and commitment to giving back. This impactful partnership directly supports the Directorate's mission to enhance digital literacy across the metropolis.
Kudos to the 1996 Year Group for investing in the future of our brilliant learners.

The Kumasi Metro Education Directorate has organized an intensive sensitization exercise on the Senior High School (SHS), STEM, and TVET school selection process for the 2026 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) candidates at State Girls M/A JHS.
Led by the metro team, the session focused on educating candidates, teachers, and guardians about the critical 2026 guidelines. In line with recent policy updates under the Computerised School Selection and Placement System (CSSPS), students were guided on how to strategically choose their eight (8) required schools based on actual performance to secure successful placement.
Key takeaways from the session include:
8 School Choices: Candidates must select 8 schools in order of true preference.
Category Limits: A maximum of 2 schools can be selected from Category A, and up to 3 from Category B.
Residential Realities: The continuous importance of balancing boarding options with realistic, close-to-home Day school choices.
TVET & STEM: Encouragement to explore technical and vocational pathways for a future-ready career. The management emphasizes that parental involvement is crucial at this final stage to eliminate errors, confusion, and placement complications later on.
Congratulations to the management, staff, and disciplined students of State Girls M/A JHS for a successful and interactive session.
