The educational system of the African was called informal. His school was called The bush school, his culture was primitive making him uncivilized. Years down the lane i have stopped blaming the one who tagged us so. We are rather toblame fir accepting all these tags and priding ourselves with it

Slumbering Baobab

In the cacophony of the silence, where the sound of the unspoken words deafens us the roar of the wakening crickets
feeds the crow of the roosting cockerel the destruction left by the desert storm
becomes a character of construction

The thunderous roar of the Baobab is felt not heard the parchment of its skin is heard not felt its towering height is not for the eyes to see the coolness of its shade is not for the skin to feel

Oh mighty Baobab
until you take your ancestral deportment the cacophony of your silence will intrude our contemplations the chaos of your slumber will agitate our tympania your towering height will miasma our vision the coolness of your shade will scorch our skin
