Francis Mendy’s academic journey is one marked by pride and gratitude for the experiences that have shaped his aspirations. It began at St. James Lower Basic School and continued at Sifoe Lower Basic School, where he built a strong educational foundation. He completed his junior and senior secondary education at Sifoe Upper and Senior Secondary School, graduating in 2019.

Through hard work and determination, Francis earned the prestigious MasterCard Foundation Scholarship to pursue a BSc. in Physician Assistantship at Knust. This program provided him with a solid foundation in patient care, diagnostics, and preventive medicine, fostering both clinical and analytical skills essential to the healthcare field.

Inspired by the transformative potential of medical science, Francis aspires to further his education by pursuing an MSc. in Molecular Medicine. His focus lies in research, particularly in the areas of cancer and HIV, aiming to contribute to innovative treatments and better patient outcomes. Deeply motivated to bridge the gap between clinical practice and scientific discovery, Francis is determined to make a meaningful impact on global healthcare.

GAMTECH congratulates Francis on his remarkable achievements and wishes him all the best in his future endeavors. May his journey continue to inspire and make a lasting difference in the world of medicine and beyond.

As the Financial Secretary of the ISA - KNUST and through years of impactful service in GAMTECH, Sheriff demonstrated exceptional leadership, always striving to empower others and make a positive difference.

With a deep passion for machine learning and Software Engineering , Sheriff is eager to contribute to groundbreaking research that drives innovation and fosters collaboration. His time at KNUST has been filled with growth, learning, and meaningful connections.

Echene Jatta hails from Madiana and began his educational journey at Madiana Nursery School, where he developed foundational skills. He continued his studies at St. Patrick’s Lower Basic School in Dasilameh from 2007 to 2011 and later completed his primary education at Banyaka Lower Basic School in 2012.

For his junior secondary education, he attended St. Francis Upper Basic School from 2012 to 2015. He then proceeded to St. Francis Senior Secondary School, where he excelled as the assistant head boy and graduated as the best student in 2018.

After completing his senior secondary education, Echene spent three years teaching at St. Francis. He later earned a fully funded scholarship from the Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program to pursue a university education at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology in Ghana, where he studied sociology with geography.

He is passionate about inspiring young people to pursue their goals, despite the challenges they may face.

No celebration is complete without food! Our dinner was a feast of Gambian cuisine that left everyone satisfied and happy. From Benachin, Chakri, Shawarma, Wonjo, Kinkiliba, to Coos Coos, every bite was a taste of home. 🍽️🇬🇲

Laughter, fun, and some friendly competition! Our icebreaker and games were a hit, bringing everyone together to kick off the evening with energy and excitement.
