Assin North District Education Office

Annual circuit Sports and games started three weeks ago and still running. This week, week 8 of the Trrm 1, the PHE Coordinators together with SISOs and other officers stationed at Praso Corcuit to oversee the entire segments of activities. Congratulations to all schools for their participation ao far.
To other Circuit yet to commence, we demand resilience, cooperation, and selfless contribution towards the success of your games.

Assin North District participated in the 2nd Edition ofJunior Science and Maths Quiz (JSMQ) Competition held at University of Cape Coast, Campus on 30th September 2024. The District was represented by Assin Bereku Presby Basic JHS.

The Team comprising 4 Contestants, 2 Training Staff, 6 Supporters and 2 GES Office Staff departed from Assin North District to Cape Coast on the early hours of Monday 30th September 2024 for the Regional Contest competing with Elimina M**h 'A' JHS from Komenda Edina Eguafo Abirem (KEEA) and Asuansi Agric Exp. JHS from Abura Asebu Kwamankesse (AAK) District.

The District STEM Coordinator for Assin North Mr Adjei Hussen Yaw (Papa Adjei) together with his training Staff Mr Andrews Apaabe (facilitator of Mathematics and Science at Assin Bereku Presby Basic School) and Mr Joseph Ansah Mawuli ( Tutor of Mathematics, Assin State College, Assin Bereku) adequately prepared the contestants for the number one spot. The Contestants were Mr Prince Akomani Gyamina, Ms Grace Abekah, Ms Nyarkoa Akosua Nhyira , and Mr. Mammud Asante

The Assin North District Director of Education, Mr Ahmed Tijani Hassan joined the team to wish them so well and also encouraged them to work harder to win the contest for the District . He was accompanied by Mr Solomon Bentil (F&A , GES, Assin North).

At the end of the contest Assin Bereku Presby JHS (Assin North District) had 29 points trailing behind Elimina M**h A JHS ( 32points) and Asuansi Agric Expiremental came last securing 25 max points trailing behind the two competing schools.

We want to extend out heartfelt appreciation to you all for making time with us today, Friday 28th June,2024 which marked the Valeditory Send-Off ceremony in honour of our dearest Directorate, Dr. (Mrs.) Juliette D. Otami, a glamorous one- Chiefs and Elders, DCE and representatives from the District Assembly, District Dorectors from other Districts, Clergies from diverse denominations, colleague from the Education Office, Headteachers, teachers and other staff of education-. Dr. Juliette has been very instrumental in the success story of the Dorectorate as the First District Director of Education. Assin North will continuously recognise her in its archives as an outstanding promoter of quality education through collaborative effort of all stakeholders.
