THE EXTENSION OF THE IGP TENURE
The IGP has officially received a two-year contract extension beyond his retirement, effective 28th December 2025. This is lawful under Article 199(4), but only when it clearly serves the public interest.
Per Article 202, the President acts in consultation with the Police Council in appointing an IGP, and this same process allows the Council to advise on retaining him where national security, operational continuity, or ongoing reforms make it necessary.
The key issue is simple: the extension must be justified, transparent, and aligned with the public interest, not political convenience.
What do you think was not right in the process of granting the extension? State your concern in the comment section 👇!

WELCOME TO THE WORLD OF MOTIVATION AND ENTERTAINMENT.
It’s in public interest to overlook the practice that infringes on the traditions and customs of the people. LGBT+ is an act that is contrary to our believes as Ghanaians and we must not in anyway adhere to the influence of external forces by a reason of receiving aid. Uganda passes its Anti-LGBT+ bill into law to prove to the world that they are strongly against such act. However, we as Ghanaians must stand up and ensure that the bill, which is currently in parliament, is also passed.
