Teachers Must Not Be Paid When Students Fail Exams?

Before anyone could analyse the above statement, one must take into consideration for a fact that teachers specifically in Ghana lack a lot of accelerated materials and even classrooms physical condition for teaching and sometimes no classrooms at all for teaching.

Now, my question is "As a country have we ever thought of what teachers go through even before lessons to be delivered?"
The sleepless nights, the research work for accurate literature to teach with, the selflessness in all things, the metacognition that we go through to brought forth ideas (just a few mentioned) just to satisfy the mind desires of those little minds to correct future uncertainties calls for applause for teachers. Those acts are not merely an act but the science behind it also counts.

Over here in Ghana, teachers barely recognised as professionals deploying their service to humanity. We save lives by bringing lives on track and we help lives by shaping lives holistically for industries, economics, health and services. Oh how I wish teachers should be recognised as a valuable asset to every country's development and growth.

It is mild to see teachers who have been promoted from the same field of work to occupy high positions so much forget about the details of what teachers go through in the classrooms. They forget to reconsider the concerns and conditions of living when teachers raise them, in fact, those concerns they once raised. Why are we doing these to ourselves?

Although, the government is doing its best to achieve their objectives so long as education is concerned but we hope to see some sense of dignity and respect for teachers! Our efforts should not be seen as worthless but should be recognised and praised. Our conditions of living should be counted of worthy. Not just always on the lips of people "teachers in Ghana are poor"

I am a genuine witness of some horrible conditions for both teachers and students in Ghana. Barely no classrooms in some cases but under trees, some sort of collapsed school buildings, sometimes furnitures to sit on in the so called classrooms are not to be found. Teaching and learning resources are not in the system. Children don't feel comfortable reporting to school regularly-I suggest because of the poor living conditions in the classrooms. Who would have not loved to enter a flashy classroom with well equiped materials and resources for lessons?
The lesson periods on one teacher is quite mind-blowing. To talk of multiple subject teachers. You know what, teachers are really trying their best. If teachers are to be paid for doing periods, I mean a reasonable payment, instead of monthly salary, we would have been millionaires and billionaires in this profession

The government of Ghana, the ministry of education, the Ghana education service, all educational related associations, the stakeholders, all international bodies who value education, my dear reader, in view of God's mercy on behalf of all my colleague teachers, please help the teacher now that he or she lives because there is no one that has not benefited from a teacher. Let us come together to make amends on teachers development and prosperity because it matters a lot to every nations development and growth. Also, lets come together to restore dignity, hope and professionalism for teachers because it matters a lot.
