Most of the people who message me ask of how to say "hi" , "hello" and hey in Twi 😊
But the thing is ..in twi ,we do not have any special meaning for that.instead ,we address the person according to the age ...
We use ....mom,dad,grandma or Grandpa ,bro and sis...etc
Mom in Twi is "maa
Dad - dada
Grandma/grandpa - nana
My bro / sis - me nua
So assuming you meet someone your age ...you use "me nua ....(then followed by greetings)
Nb:if u meet a Ghanaian and you say "hey 🤣...my friend...the person will ask you (😳 who are you addressing by that ?me?don't you respect?
I think this is helpful 😊...happy learning😉
These Twi alphabets are hard to pronounce by non-twi speakers
