GOD AND THE IDENTITY OF HUMANS - Part 2

John 4:24, “God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.”

Is God only a Spirit? Without a Soul and a Body?

Throughout the ages of mankind, humans have been searching and battling for the missing piece concerning their identity. Even though, a few were able to unravel this, those who did so only had a fraction, more so to say, a superficial spotlight and a shadow of their real identity.

An identity crisis of humans has been a matter of concern, subjected to raging debates leading to rancour throughout many generations. There are questions that kept boggling many people, some of which are, 'Who are humans? What is made up of humans? Where do they come from? How do they come to exist on earth? Etc.

Any item or object that is placed in front of a mirror, is seen inversely just exactly as it is before that mirror. Likewise, any person who stands before a mirror, sees his or her exact inverse IMAGE in that mirror.

As we stated in last week’s extract that, when The LORD God said in Genesis 1:26 that “…LET US make man in OUR IMAGE, after OUR LIKENESS…”, He was simply referring to His exact Persons and Characteristics to be evident in man (humans).

The human being is composed of three persons namely the soul, spirit and body which are the exact images of the God-Head-Bodily. If a human being possesses a soul and a physical body in addition to a spirit in one whole, then God must have same.

God made reference to His own Soul in Leviticus 26:11, “And I will set my tabernacle among you: and my soul shall not abhor you.” He further stated in Isaiah 1:14, “Your new moons and your appointed feasts my soul hateth: they are a trouble unto me; I am weary to bear them” and Psalm 11:5 spiced it up with this categorical statement, “The LORD trieth the righteous: but the wicked and him that loveth violence his soul hateth.”

Concerning His Spirit and His Body, please get the copy of the book, ‘MAN, THE MIRROR IMAGE AND LIKENESS OF GOD.’

The description of God only as a Spirit by Jesus Christ in John 4:24 is relative and not absolute. He was making reference only to the Spirit of God when He was exhorting a woman of Samaria in the Holy Bible. God is just not a Spirit, but with His Soul and Body. The Soul, Spirit and Physical Body constitute the Images and Tripartite Being of The LORD God.

Therefore, The LORD God is made up of The Father, The Holy Ghost and Christ Jesus, as The Son.

The human is just the mirror image of God.

Before we bring to you other extracts in this book concerning God and governance (both civil and divine), God and industry, God and creativity, God and inventions, etc. which are all in relation to His likeness in humans, we shall be coming your way God willing next week with ‘God and gods’ in relation to humans and why the devil’s temptations are always three against humans.

GOD AND THE IDENTITY OF HUMANS - Part 1

Genesis 1:26a, “And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion …”

The embodiment of the human is exactly just like God.

It is highly uncharacteristic of same kind of species to naturally reproduce a different kind. For instance, a lion does not give birth nor reproduce a mouse, neither does a sheep give birth to a fish.

Humans give birth to humans in their very image and likeness. The same apply to lions as they can only reproduce same kind as lions.

To bear the image of someone or something simply means to conspicuously bear the exact physiological resemblance of that person or thing.

Also, to bear the likeness after someone or something means to represent the nature or characteristics of that person or thing.

The phrase “… in our image ...” means the exact and striking resemblance or sameness of the LORD God (the Person [Image] of the Father, the Person [Image] of the Holy Ghost and the Person [Image] of the Son, Christ Jesus).

The LORD God is ONE Being, yet, composed of three Persons of the LIFE of His SOUL as the Father, the LIFE of His SPIRIT as the Holy Ghost and the LIFE of His BODY mysteriously as Jesus Christ the Son. _ (Deuteronomy. 6:4).

Invariably, the image of the Father in every human being is the human soul, whilst the image of His Spirit in every human is the human’s spirit and lastly the image of the body of God in humans is the physical flesh all-together-in-one.

Who are you as a human in relation to God?

You may not have subscribed to honour, revere and relate with God through His Body (mysteriously as Christ Jesus), yet, it is an undisputed fact that, the soul inside your body is the image of the Father, the spirit inside of your body is the image of His Spirit and the physical flesh that gives you the ability to engage your daily activities is the image of His Body. Think on these things.
