LOST IN THE LORD

When you are in the Lord’s will, nothing evil befalls you, because you are working for God. A lot of people are not in His will. They may be attending church alright yet they have no connection with Jesus, and it’s a waste of time; playing church or religion, because it sucks, and it never adds anything to one’s life. Nothing is so sad as this; having church but not a Jesus Christ, to save your soul and make life good for you.

Sometime ago, I found out that when by grace you locate God’s way (because it’s not that easy to find), and you want to do His will or what He’s called you to be, men will stand against you. And these may be people who at one time had cared for you but no more do they care, and some may even want you to fail and regret. Yes! You remember Jesus said those who love mother and father cannot do His will or follow Him? Yes, because a time will come and you will have to choose God.

Sometimes God will want to know where one’s heart really is, whether one truly loves Him or not, and is truly in for Him or not, but many times, man’s acts does not really match up with his words. Some say this and act differently. Some too don’t want to be tagged with any bad name because of their stand for God or for Christ. But if you are going to be ashamed of the Gospel, then you can’t be blessed by the Gospel.

Most of my fights have been along this line, because I will rather watch you get angry than compromise. Those who want to do the will of the Father are going to have to be bold, full of faith and not be fearful. They need not put up false humility too, lest they put themselves under the feet of a false leader and have to themselves locked up dreams. “We don’t bow to every king. We are brave.”

THURSDAY 08-04-2021

LOST IN THE LORD

When we are lost in the Lord, then we will not have to do much for the power of God to surge through us and bring healing to people. Some people are depressed, however you can mend their brokenness with the Word on your lips. The Word mends brokenness. It converts the soul. “The law of the Lord is perfect, converting the soul...” Psalm 19:7. God has given to you His Word.

He has also allowed His Spirit to teach it to you, so that at all times you are thus able to teach others, showing them who they are in Christ, because they are loved, they are forgiven and are chosen, thus all those who come into Christ. (They belong to royalty). God has made them kings and priests, so that they may rule with a righteous scepter. They no more walk in deceits. They are blameless before Christ.

When Christians are outside of God’s will, they pay it in sickness, disease, misfortunes and all others, because the blessings are only for insiders. Paul could not be hurt because he was in the will of the Father. John couldn’t fry in the oil because he had more tasks to accomplish for the Lord, and Jesus couldn’t be arrested and crucified until He laid His life down for Rome. Jesus had His life in His own hands.

He tells us, “Therefore doth my Father love me, because I lay down my life, that I might take it again. No man taketh it from me, but I lay it down of myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again...” John 10:17-18. Men and women who are lost in the Lord and are in His will cannot be crushed. Because they have their dwelling far above and the world respects them. They are great. Hence, be lost in His will.

Prayer: I thank the Lord I’m an insider; living according to His will and I’m blessed.

WEDNESDAY 07-04-2021

LOST IN THE LORD

We can be so lost in the Lord that His strength becomes our strength, His thought becomes our thought, and the words we speak becomes His very Word proceeding out of our mouth. Paul the apostle was so lost in the Lord and in His will that he had the strength of God upon his life. He tells us it’s no more him that lives but Christ is the one that lives in him. Paul had God upon himself. Galatians 2:20.

Yes! And you can have God upon your life. You can so have God upon your life that no one ever recognizes your weaknesses anymore. Thus, all they see is God’s strength, God’s ability and God’s glory, and so you radiate the glory and it gives sight to people. You speak the Word and it sets men free. When we get into the will of God, no assignment becomes “tasking”; difficult and impossible to accomplish.

Many times I will sit and watch God act. I live a calmer life! Jesus spoke the Father’s words, and the Father did the acts. He lived a calmer life. He said, “Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? The words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works.” John 14:10. You can have what you say.

Therefore what joy that we would be lost in the Lord, because we would be clothed with His strength, and our lives will in turn be transformed that men will want to flock to hear us. The people always sought Jesus, and they flocked to hear His words, because they were gracious words. And now, some of you might not be living happily today, seeing you worry and you sorrow, yet there is a higher life in Christ for you, and that life awaits you, and you will get there.

Prayer: I thank the Lord He’s not left me behind, and I’m glad He’s all I have and all I trust.

TUESDAY 06-04-2021

LOST IN THE LORD

All through Scriptures we see God dealing with His people. We see Him deal with patience with people like Gideon and Moses, who at one time were outside of His will but suddenly got into His will, that He, God had to use them for His purpose. You see, “our stories can’t be the same”, I like to tell it everyday, so we would stay focused writing our own stories, and not get involved into everything.

Some people have never been themselves before, because they have never realised who they are in Christ. We may be brothers and sisters in a family or members of a less group, however when we go down to where all things began; maybe down to Genesis, we are children of God, and are distinct in nature, with unique attributes, callings, gifts and talents that distinguishes and makes one an attraction.

Many times God will wait on us with patience till we are of age for Him to love through us. And when the Lord is trying to carry out His plans or purpose through you, it’s because He wants to love through your arms and bless through your hands, because He has no one and can’t find anyone with such traits that makes Him want to love through you and bless others through you.

Coming into Christ literally is an intrusion into God’s plans and purposes concerning us and His creation, because God still loves His creation. He still loves those who have no where to sleep, and those who still struggle with life. God loves the created order. He loves you and has a plan for your life. Mom might have had a plan sending you to college, but God had a plan before mom thought of a plan.

Prayer: I thank the Lord He’s not written me off from His plans, that I’m still in His will.

FAMILY OF GOD

THURSDAY 01-04-2021

In the Book of First Corinthians, Paul tells us how that he did the planting but Apollos did the watering which God gave the increase. “I have planted, Apollos watered; but God gave the increase.” 1 Corinthians 3:6. And God will always want a people to carry out His will on earth. He will always want one group to do the planting and the other, the watering, that the saints will blossom and be fruitful.

God not only makes us new creations in Christ, but, He also reveals to us our giftings. He reveals to us His plans concerning our lives that we may live life fulfilled. Perhaps, one of the reasons why men never enjoy any sense of peace in their lives in union with God is because they have never been in His will. For if we abide in His will, we will always have access to His Presence, which has peace and joy.

God’s Presence gives to us joy and peace that even in the midst of persecutions, we joy. The Psalmist wrote, “Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.” Psalm 16:11. If we are going to live our life happy and blessed, then we are going to have to be lost in His will. Peter talks about diligence.

And it reads, “Wherefore the rather, brethren, give diligence to make your calling and election sure: for if ye do these things, ye shall never fall:” 2 Peter 1:10. God has a plan for everyone in Christ. He has a distinct plan that seeks to glorify the saints as they abide and walk in that plan. He has a plan for your life like He has one for me. “It’s a family of God.”

WEDNESDAY 31-03-2021

FAMILY OF GOD

Peter was concerned about the growth of the Church during his day. And he was talking about the growth of individual believers that constituted the Church at his place. [Read on: 1 Peter 2:2]. Peter, I suppose, wanted the growth of his people so badly in the faith, such that they may attain new levels of growth (outlive old stages) and play their part in God’s family.

When Christians aren’t growing up in the Lord, God does not allow them to function. They have to be consistent in growth. Sometimes, some people may not seem to be of use to certain organizations they belong, however when they come into Christ, they tend to play a key role in God’s family, because in the family of God, everyone has a role to play. There are no unused members in Christ.

You have a role to play in God’s family. You are a fruit bearing part of Christ’s body. You lead men out of darkness into light. You teach them the way of truth and it changes their life. “I am the vine, ye are the branches…” John 15:5. Since you are connected to the vine (Jesus is the vine), His very life flows through you that you are able to do what He did, and even do greater.

And you don’t look down on yourself anymore when He says you will do greater works. [Read on: John 14:12]. Jesus Christ came to play His role and went His way. Paul did same and went his way. Likewise, James, John and Peter among others. Which means every believer will have to find the role God has assigned him to play in His great family, because God has no unused members. Everybody has a role to play.

Prayer: I thank the Lord I’m playing the role He’s assigned me in His great family.

TUESDAY 30-03-2021

GOD HAS A PLAN

So long as we are still in this our tabernacle, and are trying to feed the desires of our hungry hearts, that we may fill its emptiness with joy, and find true meaning to life and not depend on other people’s ideas and philosophies anymore, then it means we are going to have to get lost in God’s plan, get lost in His love and be sold out to His care. Lost in His plan is being sought by the crowd.

God has a plan for every specie. He has a plan for every master and a plan for every slave, a plan for the churched and a plan even for the unchurched. Coming into Christ is coming under God. It is coming under plan, under love, protection, shelter and goodwill. The Lord had a plan long before “Genesis” and had us in mind even before He chose who should be our parents. The Lord has you right in His palm.

You may want to put blame on a situation, maybe where you are coming from or where you’ve gotten to now, however nothing can ever prevent God’s plan from finding expression in one’s life so long as God is still on our side. God’s plans cannot be rid off by any human scheme. For instance, Pharaoh couldn’t stop Israel, Rome couldn’t stop Paul and Herod couldn’t take the life of the Saviour.

God’s plan is to give you an expected end. And that’s what He’s been doing at the corner whenever we are caught up in the night by sleep. When men are asleep, the Lord sits awake and winks not an eye that He may prepare us into the life and future He’s planned for us. That is, we may have our plans, but God too has a plan and needs to be given the right of way for to carry out that plan.

MONDAY 29-03-2021

GOD HAS A PLAN

We are in Christ, in a vineyard. We are branches on a vine. We are God’s priced possessions. We are His light, we are rich, and we help gropers, ie., we help seekers and searchers find meaning to life through songs and words. God’s Word gives to man, life, that it feels the emptiness of his heart. Christ fills the heart. He's joy; He thrills the heart. God loves His man (us) just as He loved His Son, and He needs us.

The Lord needs us just as we need Him. For just as the vine needs the branch for fruit bearing, that’s the same way the Lord needs and loves you. Perhaps we have never stressed so much on God loving us than we have so much stressed on faith, but even faith admonishes us to believe the fact that God loves and needs us. Thus, faith points to the Father’s love that we may stick and stay and never run riot.

God fulfills His plans on earth through us right when we come into Christ. Now, imagine Christianity without Paul, or let's say the world without Christ. I believe you can imagine the great havoc this might have caused (the world without Christ). That’s why God needs you, because He has a plan. God needs you so long as you are still in this “tabernacle”. (Peter referred to his human body or flesh as God’s tabernacle.) [Read on: 2 Peter 2:14].

We may seem to have our own plans and objectives in life, however in Christ, everything changes, everything takes a new turn, because God too has a plan, and we are His ambassadors. And sometimes He may want to turn individuals into nations, like He turned Jacob into Israel. Christian people need not try to get by with an average, but get into divine plan; thus into God’s very plan, because God has a plan.

Prayer: I thank the Lord I’m in His plan (His will) and not trying to pursue my own plans.

FRIDAY 26-03-2021

FOCUS: CHRIST THE WISDOM OF GOD

On “The Sermon On The Mount”, we find Jesus teaching on some “strange things” because they contradicted the ideologies of the people and which was very difficult for human nature to accept and emulate. Jesus was teaching how that man ought to love his enemies and bless them when he, man himself was unable to love himself and even bless his own life. [Read on: Matthew 5:44].

Jesus was bringing on a new way of life. He was introducing something the world had never known. He brought love onto the world’s scene that He would make a new race of men, whose ways would dazzle the generality of modern man. Jesus brought to earth the Father’s wisdom that its inhabitants will experience the true glory of God. And today, it’s evident, that the more people love their neighbours and seek to bring the best out of them, the more glorious their lives become.

And the more they forgave, the more better their life become. Jesus by His Word has taught us how to become successful and great in our walk on earth. He’s taught us the way of success in a different way compared to the world way. For instance, He taught on how we would become great if we would do what others would never do, which is serve others without considering what we would even get.

Hence if we are going to live our best lives, then we ought to apply God’s wisdom. Thus, we’ve got to go the God-way but not the world-way. If we are going to go to the top, then we have to be willing to push others there, even if they are going to get there first. Nobody reigns in God’s Kingdom not going the God-way. And the God-way is love-way; it’s not considering one’s self better than others but holding all in reputation.

Prayer: I thank the Lord I hold all men in reputation not considering myself better than others.

THURSDAY 25-03-2021

FOCUS: CHRIST THE WISDOM OF GOD

Men may use all kinds of wisdom in their quest to write a nice success story and it still doesn’t make their life better, they may gather in a wrong way and even build more barns and it still doesn’t add to their life. If we are going to live our best lives, then we need go the love way, and it’s the Jesus-way. Many times men have thought on what to get than think of what they would give, and that’s why they never get.

However if we are going to get then we are going to have to give. God wants us to be lost in the Christ that always it’s Christ they see but not us, because the world has since been looking for something to see in the saints, and it want to see Christ in you that it would believe your Gospel. The prophet Isaiah said “Who hath believed our report (our Gospel). [Read on: Isaiah 53:1]. We can’t triumph by the world’s wisdom.

For this our “Kingdom of God” is an “upside down Kingdom”. And hence those outside of Christ can’t understand it with their minds except Jesus reveals it to their heart through a humble submission onto His tender love. For instance, the world was waiting for Him to be lifted up onto a throne, but when He came (Jesus), He was lifted up onto a Cross, and instead of a Royal Crown, He was given a Mock Crown. “ you call Him a King?” And yes He’s King and Lord of all.

Our Kingdom requires of us that we may do the things that look foolish in the eyes of unbelievers that we may win the Lord’s applauds, because the foolishness of God is wiser than men. The believer's ways are to be past finding out because he’s born of the spirit. His ways are to be like the wind. People need not understand him like it did when he walked according to the course of this world. [Read on: John 3:8].

Prayer: I thank the Lord I’m a new creation and no longer walk as men.
