Zum Ende des Jahres haben wir uns eine tolle Aktion überlegt. Wir starten eine Fundraising Kampagne! Aber warum eigentlich?
Unser Verein Kukumba e.V unterstützt die Schule ViECOtech in Ghana. Der Verein ist allerdings spendenbasiert und wir können ViECOtech nur durch eingegangene Spenden unterstützen. Da für das nächste Jahr viele Pläne anstehen, welche auch alle Finanzierung brauchen, möchten wir mit diesem Fundraiser noch einmal besonders um Spenden bitten. At the end of the year we have a special campaign planned. We started a fundraising campaign!
Our association Kukumba e.V. supports the school ViECOtech in Ghana through donations. These donations have to raised first so we can continue supporting the school. As we told you in the last post, the school continues to be improved and here are the latest changes :

👉We cleared 2 more acres of land to follow our mission to grow healthy and sustainable food.
👉For our masonry and electrical classes, we got brand new tools for the students to learn in the best conditions!

The school setting is being constantly improved and we wanted to share with you the new improvements that we made recently:
👉The school is now fully enlightened as we get electricity in both sides of the school.
👉The school’s girl hostel is moved to the new school compound permanently. We would like to move the boys hostel as well when the second house will be roofed.

Other changes are coming and we look forward to sharing them with you.
Die Schule wird ständig verbessert und wir wollen mit euch die neuen Fortschritte teilen, die wir kürzlich gemacht haben:
👉Die Schule ist jetzt voll erleuchtet, da wir Strom in beiden Schulkomplexen haben.
👉Schülerinnen haben ihre dauerhafte Unterkunft direkt an der Schule bezogen. Zukünftig möchten wir auch noch ein Wohnheim für die Schüler errichten, sobald das zweite Haus überdacht ist.

What was our work at Kukumba in the last few years? We were part of small events, different occasions such as Christmas markets or the Day of Earth in Kassel. We hope that this year there will be more activities offline or that we can be present at different online events. If you’re interested in our work and want to engage in some voluntary work with us please contact us via email or direct message.
We are always happy to receive new people in the organisation and if you’re asking yourself who is currently part of Kukumba you can be excited as we will present our active people in the next few weeks on social media. .

Was haben wir bei Kukumba e.V in den letzten Jahren gemacht? Wir haben bei kleineren Events mit einem Stand unseren Verein vertreten, waren bei verschiedenen Märkten wie dem Nymphenburger Weihnachtsbazar anwesend und haben beim Tag der Erde in Kassel teilgenommen. Wir hoffen, dass dieses Jahr wieder mehr Tätigkeiten offline möglich sein werden oder wir auch online unsere Präsenz bei verschiedenen Veranstaltungen verstärken können. As we already told you in our last post, there currently is an enrollment drive going on through the region to acquire new students for ViECOtech.

So far we have been in Dzokpe Oldtown and Newtown, Logba Tota, Tafi Atome, Logba Adzakoe, Logba Akusame, Logba Tota and Logba Vunta, Fume, Gbadzeme, Biakpa, Dzogbefeme, Vane. As well as in Tafi Mador, Tafi Agorme, Tafi Abufe, Nyagbo Kume, Nyagbo Gagbefe, Nyagbo Sroe, Nyagbo Odumase, Nyagbo Nyigbe, Have Ando, Ve Gbordome, Agbome, Deme and Leklebi.

You can fill out the admission forms either on our compound or in one of the various information centers of your hometown. We are looking forward to meeting our new students.

We are very happy to announce that we will reopen our school on the 15th of February and admission documents can be handed in now. If you have any questions regarding the programs, our school or the admission you can contact us over the number on the flyer or over our social media channels. On top of that we are busy with an enrollment drive in and around the Avatime Region. We can’t wait to meet you!

We, the Kukumba & ViECOtech team, want to wish you a happy new year and hope you could enjoy the holidays with your loved ones and had a wonderful time.

We are back in 2021 with new energy and eager to start some great projects and continue with our tasks from last year. Do you have new year's resolutions?

For the holidays it is common in Ghana to pound fufu and prepare either goat or chicken meat and light soup for it, like you can see in the pictures. What did you eat for during the holidays?

Wir sind in 2021 mit neuer Energie und Lust zurück, um neue Projekte zu starten und natürlich die Aufgaben des letzten Jahres zu erfüllen. Habt ihr Neujahrsvorsätze?

An den Festtagen wird in Ghana traditionell Fufu gestampft und dazu Ziegen- oder Hühnchenfleisch mit einer Suppe zubereitet, wie auf dem Bildern zu sehen ist. Was gab es denn bei euch zu essen?

It’s time to introduce the other part of the cooperation - KUKUMBA e.V.
We are NGO, which is supported by donations and got founded in 2013 to make the setup possible of a ecologically oriented vocational school in the Volta Region, Ghana. The Kukumba-Team works closely together with the school and hand in hand we plan new projects every year. We also send and receive volunteers in the project who assist teachers and project managers at ViECOtech.
We represent the school on markets and events to raise awareness and generate financial means to reach our goals.
Despite or because of Corona, we held regular video conferences to discuss our next steps.
You can always get in touch with us if you feel like you have advice or want to participate.

Nun ist es vielleicht mal mal Zeit uns vorzustellen - KUKUMBA e.V.
Wir sind ein auf Spendenbasis existierender Verein, der sich 2013 gegründet hat, um den Aufbau der ökologisch ausgerichteten Berufsschule in der Voltaregion in Ghana, zu ermöglichen. Das Kukumba-Team arbeitet eng mit der Schule zusammen und plant jährlich neue Projekte. Seit 2015 entsendet KUKUMBA, in Kooperation mit dem SFD-Kassel aber auch selbstständig Freiwillige in das Projekt, die unser Team in Ghana beim Unterrichten und Umsetzen von Ideen unterstützen.
Wir vertreten in Deutschland die Schule auf Veranstaltungen und Märkten, um so auf sie aufmerksam zu machen und finanzielle Mittel zu generieren.
Trotz oder gerade durch Corona haben wir regelmäßig Videokonferenzen abgehalten, um unsere weiteres Vorgehen zu besprechen.
