At BCS, we draw inspiration from the philosophies of Maria Montessori and John Locke. We believe in the power of learning by experience. We immerse our children in activities that develop their vocabulary, classification skills, and concept formulation. We do this to strengthen their cognitive frameworks and sharpen their perceptual responses.

Short Beads

At BCS, we make the learning of math colorful. We use materials such as short beads to concurrently engage the child’s aesthetics and mathematical sensibilities for the prime goal of developing the child.

Teaching of Geography (Land, Air & Water)

Our geography classroom is always a blend of serious work, imagination and fun. In this class, we ask our kids to fill the jars with soil, water and air. They quickly fill land and water jars, and then they are left puzzled with the air jar. Some of them scoop the air from the atmosphere. Others also blow air into the jar. After they get the jars filled, we urge to collaborate with others to match the toy animals to the various jars. We love this class because we learn how our kids think. They also become aware of their environment.

Sorting
We don’t want parents feeling anxious, aggrieved and disappointed that the kids aren’t making strides in their developmental journey. We rather want them to have moments of excitement when their kids return from school. We want parents to be amazed that their kids can now sort items. We want parent to know that their kids also have appropriate vocabulary for contrast. When parents have been mesmerized by the developmental feat attained by their kids, we want them to be infused with a new sense of purpose to raise their kids to be successful adults.

Quantitative
At BCS, we believe that the teaching of math should be equally challenging and enjoyable. Our numeracy module enables kids to connect abstract quantitative concepts to concrete materials. We embolden kids to take initiative, make sense of ambiguity and solve quantitative problems.
