In the early 80’s as the number of trainees increased the demand in other Automotive trade areas became so high, in 1985 Academic year, Motor Vehicle Mechanics (Light Engine) was introduced.

That year intake was increased to 100%. Subsequently Motor Vehicle Electricals and Heavy-Duty Diesel Mechanics were also introduced and the enrolment kept increasing till to date.

The institute has witnessed various Institute Manager’s which has brought a lot of transformational development to the institute.

There was a big warehouse which was later divided into two to three classrooms, a staff common room and a Library.

In 2012 the Institute thought of expanding the school include other demand driven programs like Electronics Engineering and Computer Hardware Engineering. Drawing proposals were made, inclusion of Boys and Girls Hostel blocks and workshops.
