*THE 1998 YEAR GROUP OF ST. JAMES CATHOLIC BOYS SCHOOL AND ST. THERESAH CATHOLIC GIRLS DONATED SPORTS ITEMS TO THEIR ALMA MATER*
On Wednesday, 21st January 2026, the 1998 year group of St. James Catholic Boys School and St. Theresah Catholic Girls School made a generous donation of sports items to their alma mater in a show of gratitude and commitment to youth development.
The donation ceremony took place on the school premises and attracted school authorities, teachers, students, old students, and invited guests. The items presented included Track suits, footballs, jerseys, spikes and other essential sporting equipment aimed at promoting physical education and sporting excellence among students.
Speaking at the ceremony, a representative of the 1998 year group explained that the gesture was inspired by the desire to give back to the schools that laid the foundation for their academic and moral upbringing. He noted that sports play a critical role in shaping discipline, teamwork, and leadership among young people.
The headteachers of both schools expressed appreciation to the year group for remembering their roots and supporting the development of current students. They described the donation as timely and encouraged students to make good use of the items to enhance their talents.
Some students who spoke to Kaakyire TV said they were excited about the donation and promised to take good care of the equipment while striving to excel in sporting activities.
The event ended with prayers and words of encouragement, reinforcing the strong bond between the schools and their past students.
