From Public Relations Officer to President. What a journey it has been
Last Friday, I officially handed over the leadership of the Association of Biomedical Sciences Students (ABSS), University of Cape Coast, to H.E. Gideon, and I couldn’t be more grateful for the opportunity to have served.

Leadership has been one of my greatest classrooms.

From serving as a Public Relations Officer to being entrusted with the responsibility of President, I have learned that leadership is not about titles , it is about service, sacrifice, resilience, and the ability to inspire others while continuously growing yourself.

This journey challenged me, shaped my character, strengthened my faith, and taught me lessons that no lecture hall could ever offer. It showed me the value of listening, teamwork, accountability, and leading with purpose.

Looking back, I am proud not only of the initiatives we implemented but also of the relationships we built, the lives we impacted, and the foundation we leave behind for future leaders.

To every lecturer, patron, alumnus, executive, committee member, and every Biomedical Science student who believed in our vision, supported our activities, offered advice, and stood by us throughout this journey , thank you. Your encouragement made every challenge worthwhile.

To the incoming President, H.E. Gideon Gideon Amfo Duodu , I wish you and your administration wisdom, strength, and even greater success. May you lead with courage, integrity, and a heart for service.

As I close this chapter, I do so with gratitude, knowing that leadership is temporary, but impact is lasting. The office may have changed hands, but my commitment to serving, mentoring, and contributing to the Biomedical Science profession continues.

🎓 I FOUGHT. I LEARNED. I GREW. I MADE IT.

Today, I write this with a heart full of joy, gratitude, and reflection. I have successfully written my final paper as a Biomedical Science student at the University of Cape Coast (UCC). 🥹🎓

On 7th January 2023, I walked into UCC with a dream. Today, 23rd July 2026, after navigating 71 courses and more than 129 credit hours, I can finally say: I made it this far.

It was never an easy journey. There were difficult days, sleepless nights, moments of doubt, pressure, and times when giving up seemed easier. But I kept going. Every challenge shaped me. Every setback taught me something. Every difficult moment made me stronger.

Beyond the lectures and examinations, UCC taught me resilience, discipline, leadership, teamwork, service, and the courage to keep moving forward even when the road gets tough.

I am deeply grateful to my family, friends, lecturers, supervisors, and mentors who stood by me, prayed for me, guided me, encouraged me, and believed in me. You are an important part of this story.

Today, I celebrate more than the completion of my final paper. I celebrate the person I have become and the journey that brought me here.

From 7th January 2023 to 23rd July 2026 — what a journey! ❤️

One chapter closes. Another begins.

I am happy. I am grateful. I am proud.

And I am ready for the next chapter.

As I reflect on my role as President of ABSS-UCC, I’m grateful for the growth.
This role taught me servant leadership, teamwork, and resilience ,and that people will always be at the center of impact.
In the coming days, I will be handing over to Amfo Duodu Gideon. I know ABSS is in great hands 🙌

Infertility is not just a woman’s health issue but rather, men also contribute to this global concern.

Men contribute about 40-50% of all fertility problems. Millions of young men are affected, yet many do not know their fertility status until later in life when conception becomes difficult. Early awareness and check-ups can improve outcomes.
