This week at P*S-MODEL MONTESSORI SCHOOL, our montessori learners are putting their olfactory senses to work!

Using a variety of distinct scents—Cinnamon, Kerosene, and Fuel—our learners are discovering that their noses are powerful tools for understanding the world. This hands-on activity isn’t just about identification; it’s about safety and awareness.

Our goals for this presentation:
• Olfactory Development: Refining the sense of smell.
• Curiosity: Encouraging them to explore their environment safely.
• Vocabulary: Learning to name and describe different scents.
• Concentration: Building the focus needed to distinguish subtle differences.

When children can identify the sharp scent of fuel versus the warm scent of cinnamon, they are better equipped to navigate their surroundings with caution and confidence.
