**Dear Lord God Almighty*
*As our children prepare to go back to school, on Tuesday 10th January 2023 keep them safe and give your angels charge over them....*
Let them be focused on their academic work and be alert to what they are taught....*

Give and rekindle the spirit of obedience in them to obey and respect the school authorities and not submit themselves ungodly influences and peer pressure....*

*Take control of their character and help them to always manifest and demonstrate godly behaviour and conduct that pleases you Lord...*

*May YOU incubate them with your spirit of wisdom and knowledge and cause them to excel in all school activities this year...*Amen ......

THE MENTOR PARENT EXTRAORDINAIRE.

My daughter asks me 'why' for almost every instruction I give her . She would look at me after I have let out the instruction and then ask the question, " why mummy?"

I have learnt to come down to her eye level and explain the 'why' no matter how silly it may sound to her . And almost everytime she would simply smile and say ,"okay mummy."

You want to know why I always answer her questions ?

1. I want her to know it is okay to ask 'why?'

2. I want her to know she is so important that I will leave everything to attend to her,so she knows she deserves to receive positive attention from people .

3. I want to establish the standard that will be applied in our relationship today and in the future when she becomes a busy executive/ mogul and while saving the world, there'll always be time for the ones that matter.

4. I want to reinforce our family value that states family over everything a.k.a commitment to family. I hope your children know your family values too ?

Dear parent, how often do you answer the WHYs?

More importantly, how glad are you to do this? ( Yop I know they are annoying , but think of the lessons )

Remember you are a mentor parent, called to teach and model acceptable , effective standards.
