CVS engaged in a series of activities to mark our Career Week 👩🏾‍🏫.
Many professionals were brought in to engage with our learners over a period of time and these series of activities were crowned with a CAREER DAY. On the Career Day, our learners wore outfits that represents the careers they aspire to pursue.👨🏾‍✈️👷🏿‍♀️🧑🏽‍🍳👨🏾‍🔧👩🏿‍💼🕵🏽‍♀️
A career day provides an opportunity for all stakeholders to come together to share information about their interests, workplace and the education and skills required for success in their career.
Engaging learners in these activities has many benefits, for example:
- Helps them to learn about careers that align with their interests and skills.
- Shows them the many ways what they are learning in school can relate to educational and career opportunities in the future.
- Provides a platform where learners can directly interact with members of their community, demonstrate their communication skills and receive mentoring.
- Role playing builds confidence, creativity communication, physical development and problem-solving skills.
- It gets learners excited and it is FUN.
