The GRASAG National President, Mr. Emmanuel Owusu who is also a Steering Committee Member of the Global Student Forum representing All-Africa Students UNION articulated the aspirations of Africa at the inaugural Steering Committee meeting held on 10th July, 2024. He emphasized the importance of collaboration between GSF and AASU to achieve the strategic priorities of the Steering Committee in the coming year.
The new Steering Committee is poised to guide the organization toward significant achievements and success.

On July 10, 2024, the new Steering Committee of the Global Student Forum held its inaugural meeting. Key highlights from the meeting include:
- Acceptance of New Member Organizations:
Five new member organizations were welcomed into the forum.
- Trusted Person Team Update:
Sabrine from Australia was introduced as the newest member of the Trusted Person Team.
- Discussion of Annual Priorities:
The committee outlined priorities for the coming year, focusing on capacity building, education advocacy, and solidarity.
