Bridging Learning, Technology, and Policy at GIMPA
On Tuesday, 9 June 2026, the Department of Computer Science and Information Systems at the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration School of Technology and Social Sciences had the privilege of hosting representatives from [GIZ Ghana]to explore opportunities for expanding access to Atingi, a digital learning platform that offers a wide range of courses and structured learning paths for current and future policymakers.
The discussions focused on how GIMPA can play a leading role in promoting awareness and adoption of Atingi among faculty and students. By engaging with the platform, learners will have access to high-quality educational resources that can complement their academic studies, strengthen professional competencies, and earn them shareable digital badges that showcase their achievements and skills.
As part of the engagement, both teams agreed to work towards increasing awareness of the platform within the GIMPA community, encouraging students and faculty members to leverage these learning opportunities to enhance their academic and professional development.
The Head of Department, Dr. Felicia Engmann, expressed appreciation to the GIZ team, led by Walter Dzimey, for selecting GIMPA as a strategic partner in this important initiative. She emphasized the value of digital learning ecosystems in preparing learners for the rapidly evolving demands of governance, technology, and public service.
We look forward to a fruitful collaboration that empowers learners with accessible, flexible, and globally relevant knowledge while strengthening the capacity of future leaders and policymakers.
