The Sunyani Branch Honorary executives of the Ghana Science Association (GSA) conducted an outreach program to selected Senior High Schools and a Basic School in the Sunyani Municipality on Monday, December 15. The initiative aimed to promote science and technology among the youth and encourage them to pursue careers in these fields.

During the visit, the team distributed copies of "Everyday Science for Schools", a magazine published by the Association, to students of Sunyani Senior High School, St. James Seminary, Odumaseman Senior High School, Notre Damme Girls Senior High School, Kyem Amponsem, and UENR Basic School.

This outreach aligns with GSA's mandate to advance science and technology in Ghana and empower the next generation to solve real-world problems.

✨ A New Chapter for the Ghana Science Association! ✨

Yesterday, Wednesday, 10th December 2025, the Ghana Science Association (GSA) marked a significant milestone as national officers gathered at 10:00 am for the official Exchange of Button Ceremony, ushering in a new leadership phase.

The ceremony opened with inspiring remarks from the Incoming National President, Dr. Selina Ama Saah, setting an optimistic tone for the Association’s future. Mr. Forson Dzotor, Scientific Coordinator, followed with a clear overview of the meeting’s purpose and an insightful presentation on the structure and operations of GSA and its Secretariat.

The outgoing National President, Prof. Gideon Helegbe, presented the major highlights of the handing-over notes, sparking a productive discussion among members. The Association’s financial state was then transparently presented by the Outgoing Treasurer, Dr. Esther Marfo-Ahenkora.

A symbolic exchange of files and essential documents among all officers signified a smooth and united transfer of responsibilities. The ceremony concluded with a confident acceptance statement from Dr. Selina Ama Saah, reaffirming her commitment to advancing scientific excellence across Ghana.
