Palm subscribes to the liberal arts philosophy of education because it focuses mainly on providing general knowledge and the development of general intellectual skills that are relevant and applicable in all aspects of human capacity building, development, and enhancement. Hence, apart from the specific areas of academic and professional training we give our students, we introduce them to required courses such as Critical Thinking, Expository Writing, Ethics and Values, Leadership, Music, Fine Art, African Studies, Entrepreneurship, Statistics, Economics, Accounting, Finance, Sociology, Psychology, Philosophy, Internships, and Community Service. We consider educating our students in this manner to make them relevant and to remain relevant in the highly competitive and ever-changing local and global corporate terrains.
