KASWA celebrates Mr. Joseph Sohyinzor Salmawobil and Miss Alice Bagyiereyele Lakyiere, who have successfully graduated from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Kumasi. Both completed their MPhil studies and have demonstrated dedication, resilience, and academic excellence throughout their programme.

KASWA congratulates our member Joseph Soale on receiving the 2025 Hermann Weber Scholarship from KAAD.
This prestigious award recognises doctoral researchers who combine academic excellence with strong social commitment. Prof. Dr. Helmuth Gallego endowed it in honour of Dr. Hermann Weber to celebrate solidarity within the global KAAD community.
Joseph, a Ghanaian doctoral candidate at Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin, is researching how the digitisation of land ownership and management is transforming African cities, particularly in relation to gentrification and displacement.

Alex Donbeinaa is a Ghanaian scholar pursuing a Master of Science degree in Land Governance and Policy at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST). He obtained his undergraduate degree in Land Economy from the same university, where he developed a strong interest in land policy, property rights, and sustainable land management.

Motivated by a passion for promoting equitable and effective land governance, Alex seeks to advance his knowledge in land and property policy, law, and administration. His academic interests focus on how secure land tenure and sound policy frameworks can drive sustainable land use, enhance climate resilience, and support inclusive development across Ghana and Africa.
