🌟The test is required for membership upgrades and is free for CIPS members.
🌟Members can access the test by logging into their MyCIPS account and navigating to My Learning on the dashboard. (New members should allow up to 48 hours for the test to appear.)

CIPS West Africa was warmly welcomed by the Ghana Institution of Surveyors for a productive engagement last week, where we met with esteemed executives of the body. Mrs. Stella Addo, General Manager of CIPS West Africa, led insightful discussions focused on strengthening both practices for excellence.
Key opportunities were identified in capacity building, promoting ethical standards, and enhancing value delivery across Ghana’s built environment.
An opportunity to also benefit from rich technical skills transfer, and competence building in Works & Services Procurement for procurement professionals.

During his recent visit to Ghana, Mr. Sam Achampong, CIPS Director for the Middle East, Africa & Asia Pacific, engaged senior procurement leaders at a breakfast meeting held at the Kempinski Gold Coast City Hotel, Accra, to drive an important conversation on strengthening procurement leadership influence in Ghana.
Hosted by CIPS West Africa, the session brought together key voices in the profession to reflect on the evolving role of procurement in national development. Mrs. Stella Addo, General Manager of CIPS West Africa, set the context by emphasizing the urgency of building stronger leadership capacity and positioning procurement as a strategic function within organizations.
In his strategic address, Mr. Achampong challenged leaders to elevate their impact, moving beyond operational efficiency to delivering measurable value, influencing executive decision-making, and shaping policy direction. His message reinforced the need for procurement professionals to lead with confidence, capability, and a clear understanding of business outcomes.
The dialogue that followed sparked insightful discussions around leadership challenges,capability gaps, and the future of procurement in Ghana. Participants also explored how CIPS can continue to support both leaders and institutions in building a more resilient and influential procurement community.
The engagement concluded with a shared commitment to sustained collaboration and practical next steps toward strengthening procurement leadership across Ghana.

CIPS Continuing Professional Development (CPD) for its Members.
💡It is a mandatory requirement by CIPS that its members have at least 30 hours of CPD in a rolling 12-month period to keep their skills and knowledge up to date. Activities can be structured (courses, eLearning, workshops) or unstructured (reading, research, on-the-job learning).
💡CPD is required for application for Chartered Status and helps you respond competently to changes in business, organizational needs, or client requirements.
💡Through your MyCIPS Learning platform, you can easily record activities, reflect on your learning, and track your progress.
