The World Arabic Language Day celebration, held in Accra on Wednesday, 18th December 2024, highlighted the profound significance of Arabic and its contributions to humanity.

Organized collaboratively by the University of Ghana Arabic Department and the Saudi Embassy, the event marked 50 years of Arabic as an official language of the United Nations.

Under the theme “Arabic: The Language of Poetry and Arts,” the program brought together diplomats, academics, scholars, and students to celebrate the richness of the Arabic language and its cultural heritage.
