PROFILE OF MLHTS
Martin Luther Health Training School (MLHTS) (a subsidiary of Kings Nursing and Allied Health College) is a first-rated private, Ghanaian, health training institution, registered with the Registrar General of Ghana, and located at Busia Junction, North Odorkor, Accra. MLHTS has strong academic
programmes, leadership team, rich facilities and amenities. These facilities include spacious classrooms, demonstration and clinical laboratories, computer laboratory with Internet connectivity and a first class library, as well as hostel facilities. MLHTS has Accreditation Recognitions from the Nurses and Midwives Council of Ghana & the National Vocational Training Institute (NVTI) & Allied Health Taskforce of the Ministry of Health. OBJECTIVE
The main objective of MLHTS is to train health care professionals so as to complement government’s efforts in training health professionals in the country and also assist in curbing the “exodus” of health professionals seeking greener pastures overseas

The philosophy of MLHTS is centered around three basic fundamental attributes, namely, attitude, skills and, and knowledge. With these attributes, MLHTS hopes to offer good professional attitudes to its students and also offer students comprehensive hands-on practical skills and knowledge base so as to be able to compete adequately in the global market. MLHTS is focused on student success and excellence and is proud to announce itself as a leader in health care training at the post-secondary level. Health Assistant Clinical (HAC)
This two-year program is designed to provide students with basic knowledge, skills and attitudes necessary to enter the health care system as a practical Nurse (Enrolled Nurses). Students develop knowledge, skills and judgment in assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating nursing care for all age groups. Extreme focus is placed on the ability to communicate in caring and treatment manner.. Results of Professional Examinations conducted by the Nurses and Midwives Council for the HAC programme have been excellent. MLHTS prides itself for being one of being in the top 5% of private institutions in the Professional Board Examination for the past 4 years. 2. Medical Labaratory Assistant Clinical (MLAC)
This one-year programme is designed to provide students with basic knowledge, skills and attitudes necessary to enter the health care system as a Medical Laboratory Assistant. Students develop knowledge, skills and judgment in assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating laboratory care for all age groups. 3. Health Care Programme (HCP)

MLHTS has been recommended and approved by Ministry Of Health to pursue a three year Diploma programme in General nursing and Medical Laboratory Technologists/scientists. MLHTS is in the initial process of building a top-notch facility to pursue the General Nursing and Medical laboratory Technology programmes up to the BSc level. INTERNATIONAL RECOGNITION AND EXCHANGE PROGRAMMES
MLHTS has established links with overseas institutions such as Algonquin College, Ottawa, Ontario, Canada and Weber State University of Utah, USA.
