EXPERIENCED CARPENTERS WANTED
ECO Furniture Works Ltd is a leading global furniture manufacturer in Ghana and rest of Africa. We have been in this industry since 2004 and proud of our three showrooms in Accra and a Technical and Vocational Training Institution at Spintex (ECOTECH). Our primary business is to supply architects, interior designers and residential clients with all forms and styles of hand-made furniture, cabinetry or architectural woodwork. The company is recruiting for carpenters with experience in wood and MDF to meet the demand of our clients. The successful candidates will work with building materials (most often wood) either on a construction site or in a workshop. He will shape and cut materials, installs finished materials like doors, kitchen, wardrobes, window shutters and build other related, once they are cut and shaped.
Other responsibilities include but not limited to the following:
1. Work with designers and planners on construction projects
2. Match materials to requested design specifications
3. Measure building materials and spaces for installation accurately
4. Order building materials as needed
5. Create materials that fit the client's expectations
6. Assemble sturdy and well-constructed floorboards, skirting boards, window frames, doors, door linings, staircases, fitted furniture, cabinetry, shelving, and more
7. Incorporate fixtures like door handles and locks, cabinet handles, stairway railing, and other fixtures into design and implementation
8. Craft furniture with fine detail work and/or utmost sturdiness and quality
9. Utilize skills in other related trades and combine carpentry work with joining work
10. Use power tools and other tools to cut and shape wood, metal, and other materials
11. Communicate with the rest of the construction team
