Are you an expert in agroecology, agricultural innovation systems, scaling pathways, policy analysis, or multi-stakeholder facilitation?
LIFT+ is seeking two Non-Key Experts to support a continental study on the scaling of agroecological innovations in Sub-Saharan Africa and contribute to evidence-based policy dialogue across Africa and beyond.
The assignment will:
✅ Review global and regional approaches to scaling agroecological innovations
✅ Map scaling strategies across DeSIRA+ projects
✅ Facilitate learning and exchange among stakeholders
✅ Support policy dialogue and strategic recommendations for scaling impact
✅ Strengthen collaboration across African and international innovation ecosystems

The successful conclusion of the Conference marked a significant milestone in the journey of the Project, which has spent the last four years advancing climate-smart water management and sustainable agricultural development across Africa.
The Project brought together a collaborative effort to better understand water-agriculture system dynamics and evolved into a vibrant network of researchers, policymakers, institutions, and communities working together to address some of the most pressing challenges facing Africa today, climate change, water scarcity, land degradation, and food insecurity.

The study sheds light on how young herders both adapt to and challenge evolving labour arrangements within agropastoral systems, offering valuable insights into rural livelihoods, land use dynamics, and socio-ecological transformation in West Africa.
