If I am walking with two other men, each of them will serve as my teacher. Confucius

I will pick out the good points of the one and imitate them, and the bad points of the other and correct them in myself.

Reasons why boats don't sink.
Boats do not sink because the average density of the boat is less than that of water and because there is a balance between the weight force and the buoyant force:
Density
Denser materials are heavier, and the average density of a boat is less than that of water.
Thrust
When a body is placed in water, it displaces the water downwards and sideways, and the displaced water pushes the body upwards. This force is called buoyancy.
Balance
The boat is in equilibrium, partially immersed, and subject to the action of two forces of the same magnitude and opposite: weight and buoyancy.
The shape of the boat also helps it maintain balance and compensate for pressure. When the boat is empty, most of it is out of the water, but it sinks deeper when it is weighed down. If the weight is too great, the boat cannot balance the pressure and sinks.
The density of the water is also important, as not all water has the same density. For example, salt water is denser than fresh water, which makes it easier for boats to float.
