OPEN LETTER TO
The head teacher,
Santeo KKMA Basic School.
*EXTORTION OF MONEY FROM SCHOOL PUPILS.*
With much concerns from parents whose children patronize your schools, we are investigating allegations of extortion of money in the form of classes fee and PTA dues in your school. Per the allegation each child pays classes fee of 1.50p each and PTA dues of 60.00 each per student.
On our visit to your school environment we confirmed the said extortion going on by you the headteacher.
Mr Fred Abotsi how on earth should a child be caned for failure to pay classes fee?
Headmaster, l hope you aware of the presidential policy of fee free basic and secondary education and also the COVID Condition where schools are supposed to operate within some specificour schools are caned for failure to pay Ghc1.50p classes fee.
Mr Abotsi can you come out openly and tell the world the actual time your school does the extra classes? Because your school per our investigation closes at 3.00pm
We also know that you charged huge sums of money for admission. That is c130, c170 and c220 for KG, Primary and JHS pupils being admitted.
Our investigations are underway in most schools in your municipality and other municipalities and very soon we shall make available the list of schools and the various names of headteachers committing these criminal activities.
Thanks
Rex Kofi Asare

Our Story

The National Inspectorate Board (NIB) is one of the autonomous bodies established by the Ministry of Education by the Education Act, 778 of 2008 to provide an independent external evaluation of the quality and standards in all public and private Pre-tertiary schools in Ghana. The objective is to offer a diagnosis of what schools must do to improve by setting and enforcing standards that must be observed at the Pre-tertiary level and ensure public and private Pre-Tertiary schools are meeting the minimum standards for quality education. According to the Act, a school should be inspected at least once every 3 years.
