RMU STRENGTHENS INDUSTRY READINESS OF IT STUDENTS THROUGH PARTNERSHIP WITH PAIX

The Regional Maritime University continues to strengthen the connection between academic training and industry practice through its partnership with PAIX.

As part of the collaboration, students pursuing Degree and Diploma programmes in Information Technology at RMU participated in an industry-focused training and exposure programme designed to prepare them for successful entry into the job market.

The engagement provided the students with practical insight into professional ICT operations and the opportunity to interact with experienced industry practitioners. Participants were introduced to real-world technology infrastructure, workplace procedures and some of the competencies required to build successful careers within the rapidly evolving digital economy.

Through presentations, professional interactions and a guided tour of the PAIX facility, the students gained a better understanding of how the knowledge acquired in the classroom is applied within an operational technology environment.

The programme also exposed participants to possible career pathways in areas such as:
