Jennifer has a proven track record, not just in terms of holding an MCIPS, but also the requisite experience and knowledge of the workings of our institution in Ghana.

At this junction in the history of our profession, we need somebody with the energy, experience and network to employ both innovation and a push to have our concerns for addressed.

I believe Jennifer is the right person for this position.

Vote : Jennifer for Congress Member for West Africa 👍🏽

16/07/2018

Dear West Africa CIPS Members,

It is with great delight that I announce my candidature as CIPS Congress member for West Africa.

I hold an Msc, in Supply Chain Management from Coventry University (UK), a Chartered Member with the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT), UK and presently the Head of Stores working with the Ministry of Fisheries and Aquaculture Development (MOFAD) of Ghana. I am currently the National Organizer for the Procurement and Supply Chain Management Association of the Head of Civil Service of Ghana and I represent CIPS, in the Association of Recognized Professional Bodies in Ghana.

As a professional with varied experiences, representing West Africa would be another opportunity to be of service to our noble profession and its wonderful practitioners, who through their hard work and support, our profession remains a force to reckon with globally.

After attaining full member of the institute in 2014, I have been a great source of inspiration to many professionals especially up and coming professionals in Ghana. I have successfully directed and mentored over 50 studying members, to complete CIPS professional examinations leading to award of MCIPS.

Having worked actively at various capacities as CIPS Branch Volunteer, I have gained influence and this has enabled me to champion the CIPS agenda with both existing and prospective professionals. I started as a Committee Member helping the branch for over 4 years and am currently the Member officer of the branch.

In my capacity as a Member Officer, I have successfully influence the organization of Procurement and Supply fraternity in Ghana through awareness creation and visibility through a strong social media platforms which include, creating of email address where I have been able to compile over 2,230 emails as our contacts via emails, creating of Gmail account, which is now our official channel of communicating to our members via emails, creating of Facebook Account for posting our pictures of various events and the creating of a LinkedIn Account, where we have over 500 connections.

With the vision of awareness creation and visibility of CIPS in Ghana, I have actively helped the branch to champion several Procurement and Supply Chain summits, conferences, seminars and workshops since 2014 which have attracted over 1000 professionals and practitioners in Africa.

When given the opportunity, I intend to spearhead initiatives that will enhance knowledge sharing and capacity building of members. Additionally, facilitate “roadshow” campaigns to drive home CIPS awareness creation and practical relevance to address challenges in the contemporary West African context. I intend using social media and other effective communication channels, to engage members, understand what their needs are and how various developments in our profession can impact on their professional career, in West Africa.

I am absolutely confident that our region has a lot of procurement talent especially, the young ones who can influence the future of the global profession.

I request your support in voting for me to represent West Africa at Congress.

The election will open on Wednesday 18 July 2018 and close on Wednesday 8 August 2018

Every vote is needful!
