As part of his final engagements before his departure from The Kofi Annan International Peacekeeping Training Centre, Accra Ghana, our former Deputy Commandant led the E-Learning Team to participate in the 2026 E-Learning International Conference hosted by the KNUST E-Learning Centre

The conference brought together educators, researchers, policymakers, and technology leaders to explore how Artificial Intelligence and emerging technologies can drive more inclusive, ethical, and innovative learning ecosystems.

Prior to the Centre’s scheduled break, The Kofi Annan International Peacekeeping Training Centre, Accra Ghana signed a strategic collaboration agreement with Cyber1Defense Communication Limited, one of the first company's to establish a dedicated cyber defence and cybersecurity capacity-building programme.

The partnership marks a significant step towards strengthening cybersecurity, cyber defence, digital forensics, artificial intelligence, and cyber resilience across Ghana and Africa. It will deliver world-class training, practical cyber lab programmes, and advanced capacity-building initiatives aimed at developing cyber-ready professionals, enhancing institutional resilience, and advancing Africa’s digital security future.

Another seamless leadership transition at KAIPTC as the Commandant presided over the official handover ceremony between the outgoing Deputy Commandant, Brigadier General Zibrim Bawah Ayorrogo, and the incoming Deputy Commandant, Brigadier General Lawrence Deku.

Our Commandant, Air Vice Marshal David Akrong oversaw a smooth transition of office as the former Director of Training and incoming Deputy Commandant, Brigadier General Lawrence Deku, officially handed over the Directorate of Training to the newly appointed Director of Training, Colonel Antwi Darkwa.
