Hasset came to Ghana and joined Merton Montessori International School at the age of 3 with very limited English.
Through our tradition of excellence and the Merton Effect, she blossomed into an avid reader.💥
She transitioned to MERTON INTERNATIONAL PRIMARY AND HIGH SCHOOL.
With the teaching, training, and guidance of her teachers, she grew into the true Merton child; confident, assertive, articulate, and most of all, a young writer.

PROFILE
Hasset Abinet is a creative six-year-old girl with a deep passion for books, music, art, and science. She wrote Mira's Adventure on Sunday, April 26, 2026, in Accra, just two weeks before her seventh birthday.

The story was created to entertain her little sister, Hella, and reflects Hasset’s vivid imagination and love for storytelling. The entire narrative is her own original creation, and the illustrations in the book are inspired by her personal drawings.

Hasset is a Year 1 student at Merton International School, where she continues to explore her creativity and curiosity through learning and play.
