LIFE IS A MARKET PLACE NOT A PLAYGROUND


Luke 19:12–13 (KJV) “A certain nobleman went into a far country to receive for himself a kingdom, and to return… and said unto them, Occupy till I come.”

In this parable, Jesus describes a nobleman who entrusts his servants with resources before leaving to receive a kingdom. Each servant is given something of value and one clear instruction: Occupy till I come. This reveals a powerful truth—life is not a place for idle pleasure, but a season of responsibility. We are stewards, not spectators. Heaven has invested in us, and one day, the Owner will return to ask for an account.

Life is not a playground where we waste time chasing comfort and applause; it is a marketplace where destinies are traded, souls are won, gifts are developed, and impact is made. What God has placed in your hands—time, talent, grace, opportunities—is seed meant for productivity. To “occupy” means to engage purposefully, to do kingdom business, and to live with eternity in view. Every day counts. Every assignment matters. When Christ returns, may He find us faithful, fruitful, and fully engaged.

PRAYER POINTS:
1. Father, deliver me from laziness, distraction, and wasted seasons; help me to occupy faithfully until You return.
2. Lord, stir up every gift, calling, and opportunity You have placed in my life for maximum kingdom impact.
3. By Your grace, let my life produce results that will glorify You and please You at Your coming, in Jesus’ name.

Faith keeps you trusting God no matter the storms.
Hope anchors you to His promises for a better tomorrow.
Love fuels your heart to honor God and care for others.

Guard these three. Nurture them daily. Let them preserve your spirit and guide your steps. You are not a fleeting flame—you are built to endure, to overcome, and to finish strong.

Keep your faith alive. Let hope shine. Love boldly. These three abide forever, and they will carry you through every challenge.
