The Orange Girl Foundation

Jukwa is a small town in the Central Region of Ghana.

When the team at The Orange Girl Foundation visited one of the school’s in the community in 2021, five (5) girls were pregnant.

Through the support of UNFPA, we donated 30 pieces of disposable sanitary pads and three(3) reusable pad to each of the 150 girls.

In the following year, when we visited again, none of the girls were pregnant.

According to the headmaster, this had never happened in the school.

This is how impactful “The Sister Pad project” has been to its beneficiaries.

We go again in 2025! Support us in ensuring that no girl becomes an early mother or drops out of school due to period poverty.
