Start Rite School is eternally grateful to you, Richard C. Aryee, for your continuous support.
You delivered a beautiful keynote address ensuring that all the stakeholders pick some nuggets of wisdom.
“Dear parents, allow me to speak to your role — one that is more vital than any other in your child’s learning journey.
You are the first educator your child ever had. Long before they met a teacher, they were learning from you — how to talk, how to behave, how to treat others.
When you enrolled them at Start Rite, you didn’t hand over that role. You invited the teachers to partner with you. Teachers don’t replace parents. They reinforce them.
When parents attend PTA meetings, follow up on homework, reinforce discipline, and communicate with teachers — they are active partners in learning.
So I urge you: do not outsource your responsibility. Walk alongside the school. Help realize the objectives of the curriculum not just in the classroom, but in the home.
Education works best when school and home are united.”
To my good friends — Jonathan Atandzi, Mr Elias Dudi and Rev. George Ofori-Atta Bondzie — thank you very much.
