Yesterday's National TVET Policy Review Meeting at the Commission for TVET was a pivotal moment in our journey to revolutionize Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) in Ghana. The draft document, a culmination of extensive research and collaborative efforts, was thoroughly discussed and analyzed by stakeholders from various sectors.
This meeting signifies our commitment to enhancing TVET to meet the evolving needs of our workforce and industries. The draft document reflects our collective vision for a more inclusive, dynamic, and responsive TVET system that prepares learners for the demands of the future.
Key discussions centered on bridging the skills gap, improving the quality of TVET programs, enhancing industry partnerships, and ensuring equitable access to TVET for all. "Reflecting on a pivotal moment in the transformation of Ghana's Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) system! ๐ Yesterday, we gathered for the Pact for Skills: Support to the Transformation of the TVET System in Ghana WEL Validation Workshop. Together, we validated key information that will shape the future of workplace experience learning (WEL) for CBT learners across the country.
The workshop was a testament to our commitment to enhancing skills development and industry standards in Ghana. Through collaboration and partnership, we ensured that CBT learners received high-quality training that aligned with approved occupational standards.
We also celebrated the successes of the project so far, including the establishment of Sector Skills Bodies (SSBs) and the training of WEL facilitators. These achievements have significantly improved the TVET system in Ghana.
Our work, however, is far from over. We remain committed to supporting the improvement of the TVET system in Ghana, and the workshop was just one of many initiatives outlined for the project phase 2026.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to all our partners and stakeholders for their dedication and commitment to this transformative journey. Together, we are shaping a brighter future for TVET in Ghana!
