I think every young student needs to have it as his or her companion. Anyway, the quote says, "Education commences at the mother's knee, and every word spoken within the hearing of little children tends toward the formation of character". Isn't it true? Isn't it the case the every word spoken and every action taken shape the character of a child? I have often said that to train a child in the way he should go, lead the way the child should go. Children are the mirrors in the home. They reflect the character of those in the home. Could it be that you are trying to clean the dirt showing on the image in the mirror instead of cleaning the object? Teach your children by your life's example. Realize that as parent, you are your child 's first teacher and that home is your child's first classroom and that the activities at home are your child's lessons. And don't forget that "It is easier to build strong children than to repair broken men." (Fredrick Douglass). Don't take your child's home education for granted. Be involved! !
