Family enterprises are the backbone of African economies but fewer than 30% survive beyond the first generation. The CEIBS Africa Owner Director Programme (ODP) is designed to change that.
The ODP equips founders, heirs, and directors with practical governance, strategy, and leadership tools to scale, professionalise, and sustain family businesses without losing control or legacy. Grounded in African realities and enriched by global best practices, the programme features immersive learning, real case studies, an Europe immersion into centuries-old family enterprises, and dedicated consulting support from
Ravens Consulting to turn insight into measurable impact.
Participants graduate with a clear Family Business Continuity Blueprint and lifelong access to the CEIBS Global Alumni Network.

CEIBS was proud to partner with the energy industry in Ghana on a public lecture with the theme “Energy Sovereignty in the Context of the Energy Transition: What Africa should know”, which was delivered by Dr Riverson Oppong, CEO of the Chamber of Oil Marketing Companies. The program also featured an enlightening panel on energy transition after the lecture.
As a leading global business school with a strong focus on the professional development of managers and how they understand and navigate core socio-economic issues, we are excited to partner on the topic of energy transition. As a business school with roots in a collaboration between the EU and China, we are proud to point to the spectacular examples of energy transition in Europe and China and what African managers can learn from them.
CEIBS is committed to fostering informed dialogue on such critical issues shaping sustainable economic development with like-minded partnerships. Partnering on this lecture reflects CEIBS’ mission to develop responsible leaders and to contribute practical, forward-looking insights at the intersection of energy policy, business strategy, and long-term development.
