Fetal Alcohol Syndrome (simply referred to as FAS) is a congenital defect of a child's brain 🧠, as a result of consumption of alcohol by their mothers during pregnancy 🀰. Each year over half a million children are likely to be affected by this defect. Despite the sensitization of the public about this condition, it is usually misdiagnosed or undiagnosed in our health facilities 🏠

Today is World Health Organization FAS DayπŸ₯°πŸ₯³πŸ₯³.
Kindly, remember to stay away from alcohol 🍷 if you are a reproductive woman ♀️
