DEMISE OF FAMILY MEMBER
The families of Akagre, Apariya, Asobayire and Agyanko regret to announce the sudden passing of their daughter, sister and mother Ms. Teresa Wekem Atogiyire following a short illness.
The sad event occurred on 26th December 2024 at the Tetteh Quarshie Memorial Hospital in Akwapim-Mampong in the Eastern Region. She left behind two children.
Ms. Atogiyire was a journalist and worked with the Ghana Broadcasting Corporation for more than three decades. She rose through the ranks to become a Chief Editor before her retirement in 2020.
The mortal remains of Teresa have been moved to the Upper East Region where a memorial service to celebrate her life will be held in Kologo where she hails from. The funeral arrangements are as follows:
▪ Filling Pass: Saturday, 1st February 2025 at the Family Residence in Kologo from 6:00am to 8:00am.
▪ Burial and Memorial Mass: Saturday, 1st February 2025 at the Kologo Nayire Park from 10:00am to 12:00 noon.
▪ Thanksgiving Service: Sunday, 2nd February at the St. Matthew Catholic Church, Kologo at 7:00am prompt.
All Teresa’s friends, former work colleagues and well wishers are cordially invited to the memorial service. Thank you.
